Can't dock

#1 Post by jojozekil » Tue Aug 25, 2009 2:28 am

Hi all !

This is my first post here, but I browse this forum for a while. One word : GREAT !

I'm posting because I have an issue with my dock station, a 2878 model.
There are two hooks that keep the notebook in place, but in my case, they don't move anymore. So I can't dock my T43 on it.

I bought the dock on ebay and it worked for a while. But after vacations it's stuck.

Did someone have the same issue ?

Here's a picture (not mine) where I cercled the hooks.

Thanks

Maybe a dumb question but is the key in the dock?

If the key is there, try wriggling it a bit. The mechanism might just be caught.

Unplug the AC cord, then plug it back in. After that press the release button. It should pop up. Press it back down to release the hooks. Basically to recycle the latch mechanism once.
