T400 will not charge while hibernating/sleeping

I've had my T400 for about a month now, and I simply cannot get it to charge while hibernating or sleeping. If the system is powered off or on, it charges just fine. I am using Vista x64 SP2 and have not noticed any other power related issues.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be causing this behavior? Thanks in advance.

Have you take a look at the battery thresholds? May be your answer is there in the power manager. What is percentage that you set on charge thresholds? I put it 49% which mean that it will charge when my battery power discharge to under 49%. Hope this might help.

It is not the battery thresholds. After all, at the same battery levels, the system charges just fine when completely shut down or powered on. Plus, right now the threshold is set to start charging below 75%, but even when my battery is under 10% it won't charge while the computer is sleeping/hibernating.
