Battery and AC indicators A31

#1 Post by volunteer » Wed Aug 26, 2009 12:00 pm

This may seem like a too simple question but how do I know if the AC adapter is capable of powering a laptop. The green light for battery is on when I attempt to boot up with the AC adapter attached. When the laptop did power up in the beginning, the indicator light for what I think is the battery, was orange. Now removing the battery I get no lights, if I plug the AC adapter in, the "battery?" light is lit green. Is the AC adapter trying to power up the laptop or the battery?

Adapter is trying to power on the machine and charge the battery at the same time, assuming all circuits are functional.

Thank You Apparently the battery is charged, and the power on works also without it.
