Anyone know of a clone that looks like it? IBM Part # 22P8791.

Great case with lots of places for the power supply and cord.

Yes, I saw that, but how do I order it? I also am thinking of the Booq case for the 14. But no one has ever answered if the power supply fits well in the front part.

Which vyper fits the T42 with 9 cell?

I'm guessing the 15" one, right?

Meh. So it looks like the Viper M is too narrow and the Viper L just too big for a 14.1 inch t42.

Bummer.

The L seems to be alright for a 15 inch t42 though.

Yeah I tried both the vipers for a 14" t42. The M could just barely fit in width wise with a six cell battery, but the case was too long. The L is too big. Also the sides bow out so you don't get a nice tight fit. It just moves around in the case. Even if it did fit perfectly I'm not sure I'd like this case.

Anyway having said that I got the 14 booq powersleeve and it fits like a glove
with the 9 cell battery.

so a 14" with a 6cell did fit into that vyper.m? how tight? :) Since it was a tight fit, did it matter that the case was too long?

Well, this is about the 6th time I have asked this in 6 separate threads, but...
WHAT IS THE FIT of the power brick and cord like in the accessory pocket of the Powersleeve 14 ??? Is it fine, or do you have to cram it in, and does it bulge alot ?? Or does it not fit at all????

If you or another Booq Powersleeve 14 owner would answer this question it would save me buying one and having to return it.

Thanks!!

I have the Powersleeve 14. You have to cram it in, but it doesn't strain the zipper. it's a tight fit, and something I have used very happily for days on end. It's a great quality case, great looking, and I've recommended it numerous times.

Thanks,
I knew that you and many others like it.
I just was not certain on the fit of the power brick.
(now I am)!

How about this one

It looks like the one you want and have removable shoulder strap.

I have this one and it fits my 14" T42 pretty well. I could fit a power brick but I'm not gonna try that.

It's really tight. Not recommended at all, although I'd rather use that than the L size. Besides the powersleeve 14 w/o the shoulder strap fits great and isn't much bigger.

I ordered and just received the MtroBrief Lite. Ugh.... it is made of very slippery nylon. It has no room for more than one thin folder. I like, however, the power pouch at the bottom as well as the accessory pouch. It needs to be made of leather with a bigger back pouch for more than one folder.

i want more details :), Not recommended at all? were you able to zip it up?

as right now, i'm seriously considering getting vyper.m as soon as they start shipping 14" t43s

Hi, NOT RECOMMENDED... Let me explain. I am a computer case junkie. I know what I want in a perfect computer case. I know what it needs to be made of, etc. The case can NOT be zipped with the extended battery. THe corner sticks out.

THe perfect case would be the kinds that Vaja Cases made for the SOndy laptop. It is a molded case out of leather that fits the shell perfectly. I know it will never be made for the T42.

I really want to find one that is really compartmental with pockets for each thing. Power supply, accessories, etc. And have room enough for 2-3 reasonable folders with papers. I travel everywhere with my laptop. I consider the case that it's in a natural extension of me. That's why I'm probably so picky.

I know, but it would fit with the regular 6cell, and i dont ever plan to get a 9cell, as it spoils the thinkpad look :)

and i basically just want a slick looking hardshell sleeve, as for the rest of my junk, i'll have a regular smaller stealthy backpack

Yes, it does fit the non-extended batter-equiped t42. The surface of this case is very slick. If you want, email me and I'll sell this case to you for less than the ecase price. It has been used for 1 hour!
