Install x61 tablet touchscreen on x61 non-tablet?

You wouldn't be able to use the touchscreen feature as the non-tablets don't have the circuitry for the tablet input. That said, it might be possible to make a USB adapter for the touchscreen and route it internally.

Keep in mind that the tablet screens have an additional layer of plexiglas (X60T) or glass, direct bonded (X61T) to protect the LCD glass as well as the actual tablet sensing layer which add thickness to the panel. I don't see how it would fit into an X61 lid without modification.
