My IBM T41 wont boot
I recently got back an IBM T41 was in excellent condition when it was gone, and now i have it back,,, The problem I have with it is that when I power it on, the LED indicates that the power is on, and nothing comes on the screen, not even the hard drive comes on and its a brand new hard drive and I tested the hard drive on my other laptop ( an IBM Thinkpad A21m ) and the hard drive works, what could it be? is it the screen? I looked at the screen with a flash light and didnt see any cracks on it, is there a way to resolve this???

Welcome to the forum!
Try hooking the machine to an external monitor and report back the results...
In the meantime, read "My T42 shuts down when I move it" sticky at the top of this forum...I believe that you are probably looking at the infamous "loose GPU" problem on that T41.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: My IBM T41 wont boot
Try another AC adapter or measure the output on it's center pin with a multimeter.

Re: My IBM T41 wont boot
Could be something as simple as the keyboard being disconnected from the motherboard. If there's no response at all from the system (no other LEDs lighting, the fan spinning, sound from the speakers, etc.) when the power button is pushed, yet you do have the green power LED lit, then it's either the keyboard or the motherboard. If you have a port replicator or docking station available, I'd try attaching the system to that and use the power button on the dock/port replicator.
As far as the motherboard is concerned, the main fuse would have to be good (the power LED confirms this) so what you may be looking at is a fault in the power controller IC(s)

Unloveable,
What do mean when you recently got it back? Was it worked on or shipped or used by someone else?
Start back at when it was working fine and examine any changes or work or abuse it may have had.
If someone else had done work on it I would go back to them and have them check it.
