Fingerprint HDD password not working

#1 Post by WilsonF » Wed Sep 09, 2009 4:25 am

I have Win7 x64 RTM installed on my T500. The beta x64 fingerprint software works (except for an occasional "splashscreenwindow" refusing to go away after logon). However, I cannot get the system to accept fingerprints for the power-on and HDD passwords. The message asking for biometric logon appears, but the fingerprints are not accepted - not any of them.

I do not have the client security solution software installed. I haven't disabled and re-enabled the TPM chip since installing Win7 on a new HDD.

With the old (Vista x86 preload) hard drive, the problem doesn't exist, leading me to believe it's not a hardware issue.

Has anyone else had this problem?
