WTB: R32/R40 battery (DOA ok), 72W AC adapters, recovery CDs

#1 Post by digitania » Wed Sep 09, 2009 2:57 pm

I am in need of the following items:

1) one battery for an R32/R40. Dead battery is fine; I'll have it refilled if necessary.

2) 72W AC adapters - I could use 3 or 4 of these. Willing to pay $10-15 each (plus shipping, obviously).

3) Recovery CDs for R31 and R32 models, XPPro. Copies okay with me. I have sent an email to a forum member who has originals for sale, so I am aware he has them. I would like for them to be a little cheaper, though, since I should only need these once.

4) A dead keyboard for an R32 or the one part from one I need (the rubber key contact/return part under one of the mouse buttons -- prefer the right since the left one is the one that's worn out the most).

If you can help me out with any of these, please drop me a PM.

Thanks for looking.

Hi
I have T23 recovery CD's they should work since the R32's are PIII's (you still may have to update a few drivers but it's a good start) I have inch 15inch R40 keyboards but the rubber should work and plenty of untested R40 batteries (you might get lucky, I know some work) and I'm sure I can scare up 4 72watt adapters for $15.00ea
If you buy the adapters I'll throw the rest of the stuff in for$10.00 assuming you are in the US and I can use a flat rate box for it all.
let me know.
Thanks
Jim

That's correct. Missing the "real" R32 restore media, your best bets are A31/p, T30 or R40 restore media, depending on the amount of bloat you're willing to tolerate.

Thanks I didn't know that,I thought R40's could have been P4 or Centrino but i thought the R32's were PIII's.
I had a PM form the guy but haven't heard from him in a few days.
I have A31p recovery Cd's too but nothing for a T30 or R40... the T23 cd's seem to work on about anything you just may have to add drivers and of course run the service packs and about 100 Microsoft updates :)

The T23 nor R40 Recovery CD's will work. Not sure why, but I had to purchase a set. YGPM.
