Completely Disappointed With My T400...sending it back.

Actually, at first, with my T400, I used to have about 2-3 minute boot times, even after the first startup, updates, disabling all the services, and disabling all startup programs. But a funny thing was when I loaded safe mode, it would boot in less than 30 seconds. Later, after checking the event log, I discovered that it was probably a driver issues, since the entry for "driverinit" in the start up log was taking far longer than the rest of the boot. (~90000 ms)

It was until recently I discovered that using a registry cleaner (ie CCleaner) somehow magically makes the computer run much faster. The program stated that I had over 500 "errors" in the registry and promptly fixed them all. Now I'm running the original OS without a problem and boot times are now far more reasonable.

But of course, freshly installing a new OS would also solve the problem as well, or perhaps driver updates. However, the problem is probably software, not hardware.
