Question concerning the hidden partition

hello thinkpad forums :D

I have t41p 2374-GGG.

I would like to make a clean XP install, but keep the hidden partition. Will this setup mean, that I will still be able to completely recover the thinkpad, and restore it to factory condition? It doesn't need any of the folders on the installation partition?
IBM T60
14,1" (1400x1050), 1,83GHz Core Duo, 64MB X1300
1GB RAM, 100GB 7200 HDD, DVD burner

correct... just make the "clean" install on the "C" drive and don't disturb the hidden partition. It has no dependencies on the regular partition.
