To prepare Hibernation file while in Standby mode
To prepare Hibernation file while in Standby mode
I understand there is an option, while the Notebook is in Standby to start building or copying the Hibernation file in order to make it faster when the Hibernate time arrives, please where I can find this option ?, thanks
Re: To prepare Hibernation file while in Standby mode
You only need to post this once (not 3x), and maybe in the Windows topic.
Edit:
What OS do you have?

No problem. Since I don't know what TP and OS you have I post here two links. BTW the Hibernation file is a hidden file, and the size is about the size of your memory.

G-Man thanks a lot for your information, I have a Thinkpad X31 running Windows 2000, but my question is not to create the Hibernation file, it is already created and working fine, my question, is : I have read somewhere, I do not remember, that you can setup an option to enable in the system to automatically write the RAM information to the Hibernation file while the computer is in Standby mode, in that way the computer will go into Hibernation faster, I think it was in the BIOS settings,
Well, I'm not sure you can do it. If there is such an option then I assume it would be in the BIOS>Config>Power or in Windows>Control Panel>Power Options>Hibernate. Since I'm running XP I can't really check it, and there is no comp. around with 2k. There is also a small utility for XP. But I'm sure there is some kind of "Hibernation accelerator" util out there for 2k. Just google a little.

In the BIOS, enable RediSafe.I understand there is an option, while the Notebook is in Standby to start building or copying the Hibernation file in order to make it faster when the Hibernate time arrives, please where I can find this option?
