Bought a replacement ebay battery for my T61..

My stock T61 had the tiny 4 cell. Didn't even last 1.5 hours after like 2 years use.

I ordered a generic 6 cell which was the correct dimensions.. $43.95 shipped, arrived in 2 days.

But it doesnt work.. the battery light stays flashing orange forever when i try and charge it. and the laptop doesnt recognize the battery either, and won't tell me its charging status.

i guess the lesson is... stick with Levono batteries for additional cost??

Sometimes they got cheap batteries in the Outlet, though they've only got 90 day warranties. I bought a six-cell for my R60. It had zero cycles when I got it and it has worked well so far. I think I paid $40 shipped.

Not any more; the day after some clown posted this on slickdeals.net they stopped selling them on the outlet. I got a T6x 6 cell battery for $35 - brand new (regular price $169). I'm p***ed!

They're still selling batteries in the outlet. There's some there now, though like I said they now only have 90 day warranties.

looking into my battery issue again, now that i have spare time..

this battery says it works on T61 everywhere I check, i dont understand it.. But this replacement is listed as 10.8V..

the battery in my laptop says 14.4V...
