June TABOOK Now Available!

#1 Post by csv96 » Tue Jun 08, 2004 4:07 pm

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pcinstitu ... tabook.pdf

New X40's listed. I didn't see any changes for the T42's. Looks like the weights for the 15" T42p's are still incorrect.

Some of the T42p 15" units are listed at 5.4 lbs. The actual weight is 5.9 lbs with the 6-cell, and about 6.5 lbs with the 9-cell.

I knew my T42p 2373-CYU felt a bit heavy with the 6-Cell battery... lol I kept wondering where they shaved off an extra pound from the weight of the R50p to make the T42p... lol Now I know they didn't.... ha. Oh well, my new T42p 14" is a mere 4 weeks away...

Make sure that FTP is enabled in Internet Options>Advanced... and of course you also need Adobe Reader.

I can download it, and read it, but can't search for ANYTHING in Adobe Reader (when I do a search, it just comes up empty).

2374 models are Education models with limited onsite service, and 3 year limited warranty, offered only to schools.

2374 vs 2373

#16 Post by bli1348 » Fri Jun 11, 2004 11:19 am

I understand that 2373 and 2374 are both educational models...
So the only difference is the warranty you were saying? that 2374 has onsite service? how is that better than the EASYSERV thing of 2373?

They come to your house and fix it on the spot instead of having you send it in to IBM.
