I've had good luck with Broadcom b/g cards like BCM94306MP or BCM94306MPSG in T23 and X22 systems. Can't remember if I've ever put one inside an A31p 'tho...

There are no compatible "g" cards for A3x series.

You might get lucky and get Broadcom 4306/4309 to work without "1802 hack".

Everything else will require a hack, be it Intel or IBM/Atheros, at least in my experience.

Beg to differ... My Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG card is working in this A30 just fine thank you and with NO modifications to the card AND without the "1802 hack".

And anything else I can stuff in.

Any one else here old enough to have used an IBM 029 Keypunch? :}

@Kendas:

IBM-issued 2915ABG or generic?

Never mind, it just hit me that BIOS is completely different, and that likelihood of getting an error on A30/p is next to non-existent..

I should've said "A31/p compatible", as opposed to "A3x compatible"...my mistake...

My Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG card is working in my A31p without any modifications or hacks. If it makes a difference, it's a standard Intel card, not an IBM version. I've swapped it between my H3U and N5U and it's worked fine in both.
