T60p Windows Experience Index 1.0

#1 Post by furrycute » Thu Sep 17, 2009 10:22 pm

I got my T60p back from the service center. I don't know what they did with the graphics card. On the invoice it says part number: 42T0153, DAVINCI-2 M66-256GL, I am guessing this is the graphics card they replaced. Now I put in a new hard drive and new RAM, Vista is telling me my Windows Experience Index is 1.0, Vista Aero 1.0, 3D performance 1.0, all the rest are above 5. What's going on? Is something wrong with my graphics card?

I just googled that part number, it is a system board. So what's happening with my graphics card? Before I sent the T60p in, the Windows Experience Index was way higher than 1.0.

Graphic card is a part of the system board on T60p...

My assumption is that you need correct drivers for Vista on that new install...

Thanks, I'll do the Windows updates, to see if Windows will get the graphics card drivers.

But this is strange, I sent in my hard disk to be re-imaged. And I just created 2 recovery disks from the factory image. I re-installed everything using these 2 recovery disks onto my new hard drive. Theoretically the factory image should have the correct graphics drivers for that graphics card.

I downloaded the driver from the Lenovo support. Still doesn't work..

This is weird. No wireless card, no graphics card, what's going on?

What machine type/model machine is this? Get this info from the sticker on the bottom of the machine.

Did you install the files? The file from Lenovo's website only extracts the files into the C:\Drivers folder. It does not install anything. You have to run the setup file to install it.

I had to run the setup files. I feel so stupid right now...
