#1 Post by tomjrc » Sat Sep 19, 2009 5:41 pm

I was using unit on battery then switched to a/c battery ran down and I shut down. When I started up in a/c it rang with bells and only stayed on for about 30 seconds and shut down.
any help would be appreciated

Sounds (literally) like a dying/dead battery to me.
Take it out, see what happens when you start on only AC.

I took out the battery and tried to start it. nothing happened. I found out the wall plug I used had a piece of a ground stuck in it. could it have shorted the c adapter? I tried in another wall plug but again, nothing.I ordered a new ac adapter to try. Anymore ideas/

If you have a DVM, check the AC adapter output for 16V.
