running PC Doctor without a floppy

#1 Post by cheifchimp » Wed Sep 23, 2009 12:12 am

I think I need to run PC Doctor on my R32 but don't have a floppy drive. Is there a way for incomplete idiots to run it an other way, perhaps instructions to create a cd?

I don't think it exists specifically for an R32. Try this version;

Afraid this one stumbled at the post - couldn't read/write a pcdr.ini file.

Guess I'll try and borrow a usb floppy drive or research bootable USB memory stick. 8 computers here and not a single working floppy.

Been trying to do this (write 3 floppy set of PC Doctor onto CD) for some time but still haven't got it to work. See this thread for some recent experiments: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 79#p529579

edit: Also, from what I've seen on a couple of versions of PC Doctor, if the program is not designed for a particular planar(s), it will not execute.

NOTE: All links to PC-Doctor software hosted by me are dead. Files removed 8/28/12 by manufacturer's demand.

I found a ZIP drive in a cool transparent blue housing at Goodwill for $1.95. I bought it but didn't know you needed an AC adapter for it :oops:
