difference between processor of T41 and T42

#1 Post by Guest » Tue Jun 08, 2004 5:53 pm

I currently have a list of computers through my school. There is a T41 that s offered with a pent M 1.7 and also a T42 with a pent M 1.7 is there a difference? Also there are T42s available with 14.1 tft displays? I thought T42s had 15" displays. If the processor is the same and displays are the same. What are the differences between the two Ts. ????

T42's use a newer generation Pentium M.

For details on the CPU:

As far as I know T42s are available in 14" formats. Check the TABOOK thread for a copy of the TABOOK with all the details :)

Thanks so I guess there is a lower voltage and 2mb cache size. I will look through the posts to inform myself was the 2Mb or just cache sizes mean. I did alot of research but did not pay attention to the Dothan because my school did not have T42s available till today.

Also I think somewhere I read that the T42 ships with an extra battery? Is that true? A free battery?

No extra battery. Once in a while, IBM may have a promotion on their website where you get a free extra battery with Thinkpad purchase, but that's not available now.
