Lenovo Thinkpad W500 - Bluetooth laser mouse

#1 Post by Harendra Fernando » Fri Sep 25, 2009 3:14 am

Hi,

I need a Bluetooth laser mouse.

Can anyone recommend/not-recommend to use a Bluetooth mouse?

I wonder whether anyone of you have experience in using Lenovo Bluetooth laser mouse with Thinkpad W500? Is there any problem in using the laser mouse? How to find a compatible Bluetooth mouse for the W500?

Thanks,

Fernando

I'm also using a Logitech V470 and am completely satisfied with it. Battery life of 2 AAs seems to be almost forever. I often forget to turn it off, and the batts still last for a couple of months. Recommended.

Note: I have experienced a failure-to-connect situation where I had to enter a "Passkey." I couldn't find the key in any documentation and don't remember entering it initially. A Google search turned up 0000 (four zeros), which worked.

I use Microsoft bluetooth laser mouse 5000. Had it for a couple of years and don't have any problems. The only negative it has is that it uses 2xAAA batteries (I would have preferred AAs). They still last for a couple of months with 8x5 office use.

Most of the bluetooth mice I've used have that same passcode. Always a good one to try first. I've had great luck with a V470 as well.
