Is there no Bluetooth in an X40?

#1 Post by Lars » Fri Sep 25, 2009 1:17 pm

Hi,

I cracked the screen of my my X41. Now I have bought a used screen on eBay
from an X40. There is one cable less coming from the hinge area of the X40 screen,
and it seems to be the Bluetooth one that is missing.

Is that inherent in X40's or has this particular screen been stripped of one cable?

Not all screens were equipped with BT antennae. They are just taped to the LCD cover. You can just peel it off and move it to your other screen.

From somewhere I have the idea that I had better not open the LCD bezel
since it is tricky to assemble again, particularly the antennas.

I have opened such bezels on the old 600-models. No problem with those.

X40 screens are not too bad. A bit easier than T4x 14 inch screens. Once the bezel is removed, the BT anetnna is located in the lower left.
