Lighter power cord for X series laptops available?

#1 Post by hawkvc » Sat Sep 26, 2009 7:02 am

Any recommendations for a smaller power cord (one piece?) to replace the one that comes with X series Thinkpads?

Thanks.

Hawk.

Smaller meaning small volume and weight, no. Different shape, yes.

I use a Kensington thin adapter for travel. It weights about same and total volume is about the same, but it goes in the bag easier.

I had a similar shaped, thin Targus travel adapter before and it needed a different attachment for 220V. I blew a fuse not knowing that and plugged it in 220V in Malaysia. Fortunately I found a replacement when I got to Singapore.

In the end I found the OEM adapter to be very versatile, rugged and I take it on the road once in a while. You may want to try the 56W version.
