Update: seems as running a whlie causes same issue. Since its the weekend I did not "sleep" the computer but have the same results.
After 18hrs have System Idle @70, taskmgr@10, smc@9 syntpenh@8 and nvPDsvc @3. The system is basically idle at this point but using >20% cpu. not sure why.
I am also running latest Endpoint Protection that causes SMC to take too much CPU. Yesterday I installed several of the RTM drivers from Lenovo (active protection, system interface, on screen display, power manager, finger print reader). I see that the Synaptics Touchpad enhancements takes 24% CPU (SynTPEnh.exe) and NVIDIA Performance Driver (nvPDsvc.exe) takes 14%, SYmantecs SMC.exe takes 10, taskmgr 5%, mdm 3%
Originally I just had an issue with the SMC taking too much, but since the drivers install these other problems came up.
Just wondering if anyone else had issues. I upgraded to the latest Endpoint from Symantec, 11.0.5002.333 but it still does not support Win 7.
Anyone having these issues which seem to come up after sleep is resumed or after long periods of uptime (hard to tell as i sleep the computer from home to work each day).
