T23- Won't boot after messing with memory
I took out the memory from my T23 to see what kind it was, so I could go buy more. I put it back in, and now when I turn on the computer, I am met with a series of 7 beeps, and a black screen. Any ideas?

Welcome to thinkpads.com!
The pessimist would say that you may have blown up the module through a static charge. The optimist might suggest that it's due to a dirty contact(s) and that with a proper cleaning, all will be well again.
Here's some things to try:
- remove the module (with the system powered off, naturally) and lightly rub a pencil eraser along both sides of the metal contacts along the edge of the module
- re-install the module in the same slot as it came out of and see if that helped
- if it didn't, move the module to the other slot and try powering up again
- if the module doesn't work in either slot, then it could mean two things
--- the module is bad
--- the motherboard has a problem
To determine which one it is, you could either install the module in another PC133 laptop and see if it works there or obtain a known good module and try it out in your system.
