Strange new boot up behaviour for T41

#1 Post by nikemen » Sat Feb 12, 2005 2:18 pm

So, just this morning, my T41 with Win XP started running RAM test, and then Intel boot agent, and then IBM HARD drive motion diagnostic and THEN going into Windows startup.

Normally, I get the IBM THINKPAD startup screen, with the To interupt startup, hit the Access IBM button.

Anyone know if this is a setting change, that could have been affected by removing and reinserting the hard drive?

Is there a setting somewhere that will revert the boot process?

This setting is somewhere in the BIOS boot options, choose fast boot.
You've currently, I presume, have the diagnostic option enabled, hence the RAM etc tests.
