W2k SP4 kills DVDRW on R32

#1 Post by cheifchimp » Sun Oct 04, 2009 3:13 am

I've struck a problem with Win 2000 on my R32 (2658 BMM).

While trying to get wifi working and secured (Belkin N F5D8236-4 v3 router & Belkin N USB dongle) I messed up the drivers so I tried reinstalling w2k.

At this point I intermitantly lost the ability to boot from CD or when the CD would boot it would BSOD. Thinking maybe my 160gb WD hdd was the problem I flashed the BIOS and that solved the booting and hard disk problems.

Four hours of loading w2k and drivers later I get to installing Service Pack 4 and reboot. CD error, reboot 3 times with same error.
