New X200 blank screen

Just got my new laptop, put the battery in with AC, screen stays blank. Tried just having battery and then just AC - still nothing. Tried discharging the electricity by removing both battery and AC and clicking power button - nothing. Hooked it to an external monitor via VGA - nothing.

The laptop is definitely on since it gets hot the hdd is spinning and the fans are on. Is there anything else i can check before lenovo picks it up tommorow?

try pluging an external screen and see if you have anything, toggle with the fn f7 maybe?
