Z50 Dial-up conecction

#1 Post by Bookworm » Mon Oct 05, 2009 8:40 pm

How do I make the dial-up networking in Windows CE 2.11 accept the number I give it, without adding anything to it?

It either adds "T9" to the number without permission (Legally, this is forgery, and the @#$% programmer is now entitled to 20 years as a guest of the taxpayer. :flame: ) or it deletes the phone number and only dials "T". But when I right click and select properties, it shows the phone number I gave it, that isn't there when it dials.

Don't know what it means, but I found this:
IBM Global Network dialler is a PPP dialler application for both the host system and the Handheld PC device which allows you to use the built in modem to dial up to the Internet, access IBM global network services as well as providing a layer for accessing secure Intranet resources through RADIUS.

Maybe check the properties or other modem settings?
It might be locked in to dial an internal number within the company where it was used, etc. etc.

That's what it was. I forgot about dialing "9" for an outside line. It has a setting to force a local or long distance call.

This is one of the few sites ie 3.0 will still work with. I hope they don't "upgrade".
