Hello,
I have WOL working nicely with my R61. However, one strange thing happens. Whenever I restart my computer the "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby" becomes unchecked. I was surprised by this since I figured once I checked it it would stay that way. Does anyone have any ideas on why this check box would be cleared upon a restart?
I was wondering if someone would be willing to try the following on their own laptop and let me know what happens:
(1) Go to the Device Manager, expand the network adapters entry to show all the network adapters, right click on the NIC card entry and select properties, go to the Power management tab and check the box labeled "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby". Click OK.
(2) Restart your system and then take a look at the check box to see if it is still checked. On mine it never is so I am curious whether your system behaves the same way.
Thanks,
Bruce

I think you need to power down with that switch set, to make it 'stick'.

RealBlackStuff,
That was a good suggestion but unfortunately it did not work on my system.
Thanks,
Bruce
