That's a pretty sweet configuration for a 14" unit...well done :thumbs-UP:

Welcome to my world. I've got about five machines that I need to get rid of, and am hesitant because I like all of them...one of them being a top-model 15" T42p...

You can never have too many thinkpads. T43 indeed is a very sweet machine, and it is not a slouch for general office apps, movies, web surfing and light photoshopping.

The fan does tend to a tad more noisy than the previous generation of T4x, but it is still quite fine compared to HP Elitebook or Dell Latitude of the same generation, which sounds like a Boeing 747 about to take off when you stress the GPU and CPU on their machines.
Current ThinkPad: T430u, T430s, X1 Carbon, X1, X230t, X220t, X230, X220, X201t, W520, W701ds, T500, T420 and many more

I had a Dell 1300 as a laptop for a while and indeed, playing Half Life 2 on that thing caused the room to be filled with noise. I remember I had to turn the volume all the way up on the laptop's speakers to hear people speaking.

Fully agree! I'm always lurking sites that sale used Thinkpads. Luckily my wife prevents me from filling the house with TPs :D

needlessly buying thinkpads can be an obsession...I have a T40, T42 and T60, and even now I am considering getting another T60. Dunno whats wrong with me. I could spend that money on something else.
