OSD Volume info dissapeared

#1 Post by radiator » Fri Oct 09, 2009 3:08 pm

I have recently had a virus that destroyed some of my exe files. Among which were drivers. To cut a long story short almost everything is fine except fror 2 annoying things.
I reinstalled my audio drivers but still have no volume up & down osd info (the green bars), and the second thing is that when I press fn button and the space button to zoom a website there id no reaction whatsoever.
what can you recommend to deal with my problem successfully

On a Thinkpad, the green bars come from having Hotkey installed. Given your post, I would go to the Lenovo Support site, punch in your model number and look through the list of drivers. Install any you don't have. If your machine supports System Update, you can try that to ease your workload. ... JDH

As far as I remember the only thing I had to do was to install audio drivers. Having done that the green bars appeared on the screen - to my amazement ! So I decided to reinstall audio drives but no luck so far.

You need the Hotkey driver. I could point you to it, but I don't know what machine you have.
