Screen damage

There is a T41 with 1400x1050 and R9000.
2373-TG5 1.7,1GB,60gb/7200,1400x1050+R9000,Wlan a/b/g, BT.........

My T42
2373-JXG 1.7,512,40,R9600,1400x1050 flexview IPS,Wlan b/g......

I'm thinking on a change, because the longer working time and the smaller size.
I never used the R9600, R7500 would be enough for me.
Is there T4x with R7500 and SXGA+ screen?

My T42 works 2.5 hours on wlan and brightness set to level 3
(with a normal 6 cell accu).
I have a 9 cell accu too. With this accu works about 3.5-4 hours.
Flexview IPS drain a little bit too much for me.

I had a T40 which worked about 3.5-5 hour with the same accu (6 cell). 1.5,1gb,40,R7500,1024X768.

Do you think it's worth the change? (TG5+ a 40gbHS drive=JXG)


On the T41 there is a screen damage at the start button.
You can see it on a picture.
Do you think it is under warranty? There is no damage on the notebook, never dropped down......

What is this damaged area at the start button? May I ask for change the display under warranty ?
Which display has the TG5? Flexviev or not? (Sxga+ on a T41)
