Windows 7 Gaming Performance

#1 Post by Pocket Aces » Mon Oct 12, 2009 9:09 am

I just installed Windows 7 x64 on my T61p. However, TF2 and Left 4 Dead show noticeable drops in fps when it used to run just fine on Windows Vista x64. I'm not sure if this problem is isolated to Source games or not. Does anyone have some insight on this?

T61p - Core 2 Duo 7300, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB 7200 RPM, nVidia Quadro FX 570M 256MB

What drivers are you using for your video? I've noticed no slowdowns by going to 7 on any of my computers, although I don't measure FPS...

I tried using both the 7.15.11.7693 driver listed on the driver matrix and the 186.94 driver from laptopvideo2go.
