Turning off wifi without hardware switch

#1 Post by T41Tablet » Mon Oct 12, 2009 1:12 pm

I was wondering if there was anyway I can turn off the wifi/Bluetooth on my x41 tablet without having to resort to the Fn+F5 key.

This may sound a bit lazy, but when I am inputing in the tablet with the screen turned around to face me I have to go through the messiness of opening the screen latch and using the keyboard upside down, or turning the whole laptop around hitting the Fn and function key and then getting it back into its original position.

Hopefully there is some win32 command line application that can the same thing for me so I can just click it and it works like a switch...

If I disable the wifi adapter in Windows it is still powered isn't it? When I use the Fn+F5 function it the adapter still appears as functioning in device manager (i.e not disabled) but it doesn't draw any power afaik.
