My brother is now owning an IBM T41 with the current spec:
Intel Pentium M 1.7 Mhz
512mb Memory
60GB Harddisk
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 32mb
a/b/g wireless w/ bluetooth
He bought it last year around January. Until now is still in good condition and there's no error or whatsoever. However, recently he just installed Leisure Suit Larry in his laptop. When he starts to play for like 5 mins the Thinkpad restart itself. Does anyone know anything bout this? is it because of the heat?
I am planing to get an IBM T42 this week with the spec:
Intel Pentium M 1.8Mhz
512mb Memory
80GB Harddisk
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 64mb
b/g wireless w/bluetooth
Fingerprint
I'm afraid that the laptop I'll get will have the same problem with my brother's. I heard that some people say IBM is not suitable for gaming that's why it restarts. Is it true?
I hope someone can clear me on this
Thank you
It restart itself..
Nope. You can play games on IBM thinkpads, it just might not be as fast and it should not reboot.altious wrote: I heard that some people say IBM is not suitable for gaming that's why it restarts. Is it true?

In Control Panel -> Admin Tools -> Event Viewer, check for Application and System errors. It might give some clue.
