INstalling internal wifi card T42

#1 Post by SlamX » Tue Oct 13, 2009 1:56 pm

I am going to put an internal wifi card in my T42. It never had one. After I install it do I have to do anything with the bios to get it to recognize it or any other things so it works right.

Thanks

Best choice is find WiFi cards with correct FRU numbers for your model. BIOS likely will not need to be changed. Make sure you have antennae in the LCD cover already.

Just make sure it's an IBM branded card so that you don't have to mess with BIOS hacks. Any IBM Mini PCI card should work.
