X41&X31 questions (and some personal comments about both)

Good job on getting the sticky keys fixed.

I remember the first time I opened up a laptop for some serious work on its internals. I was very nervous. That was years ago and now I don't hesitate to crack open a laptop. I've worked on hundreds of them and it is kind of fun to see how different manufacturers put them together.

My next step will be to replace the Japanese keyboard from my X41 to a EU (UK) one. Should be really dead-easy now

I've ordered the keyboard from an Ebay seller from HK, let's see how long does it take to arrive to Switzerland...

I was nervous the first couple of times as well. Now I don't think twice about opening them up when something goes wrong!
I think I'm going to do the Bluetooth mod in the next couple of weekends. (USB adapter mounted inside the case) just need work to slow down a bit as I use my old X41T 10 hours a day for work!

I'm having a problem with Windows 7 in my X31.

Some days ago I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and did a clean install. I installed the ATI drivers from the Lenovo site, but now windows cannot compute the WEI, I keep getting the following error message:



The funny thing is that it worked before when I was still using W7 home premium and the same drivers.

Does anybody have any ideas/thoughts? It looks weird for me...
