X21 repair diskette doesn't work

hallo
i had in my X21 2662-P2G the preload win 2000 ; i tried to change to XP just using the normal XP installation disc, it did the formatting of hd and installed xp.
i saw that after it the system was very slow (pentium 3 with 320gb memory) and so i decided to go back to win2000...but surprise ...there was not the F11 option on boot!
i downloaded the repair diskette d2dfdzip.exe from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4QDSS5 but when i inserted it ... the screen showed me "rimuovere supporti e premere un tasto per riavviare" that means get off disk and press any key to boot! i tried with other fd drive...the same message!
what's happened? i still have xp on the disk and the even if the dsk is of 10gb windows reports me 8,24 of total space so i assume that the hidden partition is still on hd! but how to recover it?
what i have to do?
