Hello everyone,
I am running Windows 7 RTM on my R61 and my major problem with it is the sound; it is at whisper level, even though the slider is at max. I have tried to install the Soundmax audio control panel to see if I could tweak it a bit but still the same whisper. Playing videos is ok because I use Klite Mega Codec Pack. But system sounds are very very low, such that I never get to hear system prompts. Is this a problem with the sound driver? Or with Windows 7, or with the laptop itself, because Windows 7 is the only OS I have installed on this so I don't know how it goes on any other OS. If there is a solution, please I need to know so I can enjoy this laptop to the fullest.
Another thing is that the battery cycle count is at 148 as at the time of writing this, but it still packs up to 3 hrs of battery life. How does the battery cycle count affect battery life with respect to this figure of 148 now?
Thanks, I appreciate all your responses.
NB. I found a solution(?), QMAX II... at least now the volume is audible but not up to desired level. Maybe if I tweak it a bit more it could still output more sound. Now I can hear the "Start navigation" sound...
