Alrighty... this is something I'm scratching my head over.
I upgraded the HDD in my X60s and decided to throw a clean copy of Vista Ultimate(32-bit, obviously) on it. Installed quickly, and mostly works just fine. I ran System Update, and downloaded most of the pertinent drivers. I did notice several that System Update didn't load, namely the hotkey function(OSD), so I downloaded and installed those manually.
However, upon startup the hotkey service crashes. Windows 'found a fix' relating to the sound card driver. I tried a few different versions of that particular driver to no success. Uninstalling/reinstalling the hotkey drivers haven't worked either.
I'm scratching my head over this one, because I've never had this kind of an issue before. I've installed Vista on my T60p and an old T42 without any glitches like this, so I'm practically tearing my hair out trying to find a solution to this.
Anyone have any suggestions or a possible fix for this?

Re: X60s OSD not working.
For Vista you need the Lenovo System Interface Driver. You may need to use Lenovo's version of the Graphics driver (not sure). Be sure you get the Vista version of the Hotkey Features driver and not the XP version.
It is also a good idea to install the ACPI Power Management driver and Power Manager (a separate driver).

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I forgot to mention that all of that is already installed, save for a stock Lenovo graphics card driver. I just tried reinstalling the system interface driver to no avail... this is definitely a problem that's making my gears turn.

Re: X60s OSD not working.
Update: Installing SP1 fixed my issue. I'm not sure exactly how, but OSD is working just fine and without any crashes.
