Are ddr 2 5300 sodimms compatible with my ddr3 t400?

Looking to upgrade ram in t400 and wondering if ddr2 sodimms are compatible with my t400's motherboard?

I know there will be decrease in speed of the ram but, i don't really care about that.

No, it won't work. I don't even think they are pin compatible.

T400 requires DDR3, and is not compatible with DDR2 sodimm.
