Thinkpad X40 USB drivers dont install

I have problems with my X40

I had problems with USB, i deleted all hardware that related USB

Now i cant get it installed again, Running XP SP3

The computer finds all the controllers 82801 ...but dont add the microsoft drivers
i get all those under "other devices"

the same with my PCMCIA, or if putting the computer into the docking station, find CD but cant install the right drivers, or for USB

Any suggestions`? Other than reinstalling the complete PC

Sounds to me like you have a damaged install otherwise it should find & load the drivers by default. Why don't you try doing a repair install? That way at least you dont have to re-install all your programs & data again. I find repair installs can be suprisingly effective.
