X41 Lenovo SSD - Best place to buy?

#1 Post by Amigaman » Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:49 am

Hi,

I'm looking to buy the Lenovo SSD for my X41, and after searching these forums I see that many people are buying this item from Ebay.

I took a look and I see two sellers currently have them, one is $170 and the other is $200.. While it's tempting to just take the lower price, I wanted to ask about other people's experiences..

Of the people that have bought this item from EBay, would you be able to share which seller you bought it from. I read that some people received damaged or used items which were meant to be 'new' - which EBay seller was this??

Thanks for any info,

Regards,

Ross..

I think used X40/X41 SSD is ok since they have not been out for long yet. To return it to like new state, use the erase procedure I posted in the SSD stickie above.

I recently purchased one of these SSD drives. I don't remember the exact details but to me the sellers were essentially equivalent, but the "cheaper" price would have cost me more, either because of tax or shipping (I live in California). So I bought from the more expensive seller, for $200. Got shipping details in a couple days and the drive arrived in about 10 days. Installation was a breeze, just a few screws here and there, and I set up Windows 7 on it which has been working well.
