770 X Won't start

#1 Post by cspgsl » Mon Feb 14, 2005 6:07 pm

I had placed the machine on standby on Saturday night and on Sunday I discovered that my charger/adapter decided to die overnight. I replaced the adapter on Monday, charged the battery and it now shows 100%. Problem is when I slide the start switch nothing happens. When I hold the switch for more than 4 - 5 seconds nothing happens. I remove the battery and with it still plugged in, nothing happens when I try to start it.
I'm stumped here. Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Could be coincidental, but perhaps your CMOS battery died?

Try changing it (dead simple in the 770!) and report back.

Thanks, is there a way to test it? I'll have to purchase one in the morning and then report back.
