IBM/lenovo ThinkPad SL500 WebCam

I have a IBM/lenovo ThinkPad SL500 and wanting to see if I can put a webcam on it like the other series. I got mine when Windows XP was a choice to pick or Windows Vista and came with the fingerprint reader on it. I have the triangle shap patch where a webcam would go on the top of the screen, Do I take the patch off and buy the camera for it? Or how does it work.
