RAM upgrade for x200

#1 Post by syrahnose » Sun Oct 25, 2009 9:31 pm

I recently bought an x200 and it hasn't been delivered. What brand of RAM does it come with so I can buy a stick now and install when it comes? Thanks in advance.

They use multiple suppliers. I don't think the brand matters so much. Memory failures are pretty low.

so mixing brands to upgrade to 4 from 2 isn't much of an issue. I assume its best to have 2 2gig sticks rather than 1 one and 1 two?

It's slightly faster if the sticks are the same, but not that you'd notice it.
