LENOVO cheated..:(

Last month i placed an order for T400 . I selected LED backlight and they charged me $80 for that .
I got my laptop but with no LED backlight , they are saying i did not select for that.

I have PROOF that i selected (print out of my order ). what is going on?

And i did not get any invoice also with my laptop.

Can any body suggest me what i do ? any higher management email to raise this issue?

I would take the print of your order and mail it to the customer service. It's your right to get the $80 refunded since they have probably forgotten to build in the LED backlight. I can't provide you with any special contact details but you can check their website or the best thing would probably be calling the service hotline and ask for help.

well, i don't believe lenovo "cheated" but rather they made an error..

it would really annoy me too since I believe the LED backlight would be a major enhancement..

I would first call lenovo customer service and take it up with them..
email the documents you have supporting your claim..

i would do all this ASAP since time is of the essence here..

and i would accept nothing but a replacement with an LED backlight..

call lenovo but from friday to monday is not really sufficient time for a reply..
i would wait until tuesday at least..

meanwhile i would get the documentation ready to support denying the charge on my credit card since you did NOT receive what you ordered..

and i would be ready to pursue from that angle IF lenovo fails to rectify this issue..

candidly, i can't think of any reason lenovo would NOT want to clear this up to your total satisfaction..

you can check what the included options are for your thinkpad by going to the lenovo support web site, entering your machine model/type and serial number..

I talked to lenovo , they are saying that my laptop has LED backlight.But he was also not sure and said he will get back to mer later.

On lenovo online status its show (** SBB 14.1 WXGA+ TFT, W/ CAMERA)

How to check " FRU number associated with the LCD?"

Go to parts lookup, enter type and serial number. You get a parts list. For every part, there is a Mfg Part# and a FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) Part #. Then get the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) here. In its parts list, see if you can find a FRU part number for WXGA+ LCD display that matches the FRU part number from the list you got with parts lookup. The HMM specifies whether the LCD display has LED backlight or not.
