Did anyone also notice that CPU temperatures are higher in Windows 7 than they were in Vista?
I used to stay around 35-38 degrees in Vista, but in Windows 7 I get temperatures in the 40-45 section doing the same things...
Could it be some driver I've messed up somewhere?
EDIT:
Interesting... It seems to go down to the previous levels if I switch to integrated.
In addition, I remember running 7 with graphics in Discrete mode only (BIOS set) at around the 36-40 temperatures...
EDIT2:
Also interesting... I'm using RMClock to undervolt the processor and it seems that it's gone back to the normal range. Perhaps the preload Vista undervolts the processor?

Re: CPU Temperature Higher in 7
Wow...
I managed to get the following voltages for now:
Intel C2D P8700 at 2.53GHz
SuperLFM 6.0x - 0.8750V
6.0x - 0.8750V
7.0x - 0.8750V
8.0x - 0.8750V
9.0x - 1.0000V
IDA 10.0x - 1.0500V
From what I know about CPUs, if it is stable at 8.0x for 0.8750, then it must also be stable for all multipliers less than 8.0x... Correct me if I'm wrong...
