From the description it looks quite good.
What is the 7-character TYPE/Model on the bottom of the laptop?
What's the resolution of the screen?
Touchscreen?

1024x768 (XGA) is all you can get on any non-tablet X6x series.

You did OK, BTW.

You did fine, but your scale is off. Unless you weighed the machine without the battery and hard drive, it doesn't weigh 2.5 lbs. My X60s with a 4 cell slim battery and two sticks of RAM weighs 2 lbs. 15.5 oz.

An X60s has to be closer to 4lbs., which is still easy to carry.

The only current 2.5 lb. ThinkPad is a carefully configured X200s.

Enjoy it...and the forum!

I had just copied the ad I purchased from about the weight LOL. So far I am loving it and getting used to having a trackpointer versus the trackpad. Is there any way to find out how much this configuration cost new with the dock as originally purchased, not including the extra memory?? I went to extend the warranty online as It has current warranty but it said I had to call Lenovo, so we will see if they will extend the warranty. Also my battery part number is part of the recall, I called Lenovo and they said the recall expired. How do I know if my battery is really recalled or just part of the series?? Thanks

The only way is to ask the seller for the invoice. Without that, archive.org helps a little bit but not much. Assuming that the warranty was for 3 years, the laptop was probably purchased from Lenovo in around April 2007, so I looked up Lenovo's X-series page on archive.org and found this. This page shows that the X60 with the most basic configuration was being sold for $1,554.00, although at that time 40% off coupon codes were quite common and would have brought the price down to $932.40. Most states charge sales tax, so add 5 to 9 percent to that price.

Thanks for the archive.org info. I called to extend my warranty and it was like $400 for 2 more years so I think I will pass. Still trying to see if my battery is actually recalled or not. Thanks chris

Maybe if you picked the on-site warranty. Otherwise it is much cheaper (assuming you upgrade from 3yr to 5yr depot):

The model number is the same for all original batteries. The recalls apply to particular batches only. That's why the check against the serial number.
