Seems as good as the rest, although they don't show an IBM part number.

You can find my very own post about an LCD on the list. Avoid the "generic" LCDs, go for a genuine Lenovo LCD or you will end up like me, with a good LCD that is not compatible with the Thinkpad.

The XGA to SXGA upgrade is easy and should work... That is if you have the right panel.

Turns out that the panel they sent me doesn't have an EDID, so the T60 can't ready any information from it and doesn't know how to drive it. Maybe they sent me a panel for a T4x, as those didn't had EDIDs, the cable selected the resolution.

This is the panel that I ordered:

http://cgi.ebay.com/IBM-T60-LAPTOP-LCD- ... 27a842c1d6

From the item description:

"100% OEM Compatible"

Obviously it can't be farther from the truth.

The panel that I received is an off-brand unit, completely generic, there are no markings on it. So if you decide to go with a conmpatible unit, make sure it is from a well known manufacturer, but I would rather get a genuine replacement.

I have bought a couple of complete display lids on ebay before. The first one for a ThinkPad 600E worked out just fine. The second one was for a T42 that had an XGA display. I broke the display in my overpacked briefcase while traveling. I decided since I had to replace the display anyway, I would rather put in an SGXA+ display (this was a T42 option). I bought a used, supposed, SGXA+ T42 display lid on ebay, but what I received was an XGA T42 display lid. I decided to install it anyway, but I was disappointed.

Anyway, I would recommend buying a used complete display lid. Less apt to get something incompatible and easier to install.
