Should I wait for the next upgrade? or for the SL9600?

I have been waiting a month hoping they would offer the SL9600 version. When I call they say it is on back order and should be available again soon but I am starting to doubt that. In the meantime I have now lost out on the 500gb HDD as it is not listed on the site and delivery time is now up to 'over 4 weeks'. Is the SL9600 2.13ghz noticeably faster then the SL9400 1.83ghz or am I being too uptight with my purchase? I do a lot of photoshop and some video editing but nothing too heavy.
